This is the average sizing chart. If you prefer tighter booties, we recommend going one size down, and if you have wider feet and/or ankles, we recommend going one size up.

Size4XS | M1.5-2.5 | W3-4

*we can’t guarantee coverage on an individual foot, but from our testing, we estimate that stingray-resistant materials would cover 85% of a typical bootie, so there is still a chance that a wearer gets stung. But if you do get stung while wearing our booties†, we'll give you your money back!

Testing Performed on Round Stingrays (Urobatis Halleri)

  • These booties were designed and tested with Round Stingrays.
  • Round Stingrays are the most common source of stingray injury in Southern California, but they are not the only dangerous species of stingray.
  • The exact level of protection provided against other species is unknown.
  • Please see our Product Liability Disclaimer for more detail.

Design

  • Secure: Hybrid, dual-layer bootie, covering an estimated 85% of the bootie with stingray-resistant materials. For more details, see our testing methods page!
  • Composition: Two base layers of 2 mm thick neoprene, plus thermoplastic protective material.
  • Comfort: Soft, flexible, four-way super-stretch neoprene makes this bootie easy to take on and off. Flat seams help prevent chafing and keep your feet comfortable for long periods.
  • Durable: Tough, yet stretchy bootie for watersports and outdoor activities in, on, and around the water.
  • Use: surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, or just playing in the water! Can also be worn under snorkel or dive fins, or as lightweight water shoes for kayaking or paddle boarding.
  • Patent Pending Technology: Unique dual-layer design balances protection and comfort.

FAQ

Do you Offer Children's Sizes?

Although we wish we could have children's size now, at this point, we're making adult sizes exclusively. When we do make our booties available in children sizes, we want to make sure we accommodate potential stings higher up the leg, and any other differences inherent to the smaller size and wearers, which may require a separate design. That said, it is definitely on our radar so we'll be working on it longer term!

Can I Wear the Booties with Fins?

In total, the booties are about 8mm (or about .3 inches) thick. The neoprene in the booties also does compress when worn with a fin. As long as you have about a quarter of an inch space of slack between your feet and the fins, you should be good!
